Refund Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
Calmia wallet credits are meant to be used, not held. Where a refund is the right thing to do, we make it simple.
What wallet credits cover
Money you add to your Calmia wallet is used to pay for conversation time with psychologists or Calmia Companions, at the rate shown before each conversation. Credits have no expiry while your account is open.
When you get money back
- A top-up that failed or duplicated but was charged by your bank or payment app — reversed in full, usually within 5 working days.
- Time charged in error — a conversation that never connected, dropped for a technical reason, or was billed for longer than it ran. The affected minutes are returned to your wallet.
- A request within 24 hours of a top-up where you have not yet used those credits — we will refund them to the original payment method.
- Closing your account with an unused balance of ₹50 or more — refundable to the original payment method, minus any promotional credit that was never yours to withdraw.
What is not refundable
- Conversation time that was delivered, even if the conversation was not what you hoped for.
- Bonus, referral or launch-special credit granted by Calmia — usable, not cashable.
- Amounts already withdrawn, refunded once, or tied to a payment method that no longer exists.
How to request a refund
Email hello@calmia.app from the address on your account, with the approximate date and amount, and a short note on what happened. If a conversation is involved, tell us the provider's name and the time it started. We aim to reply within 2 working days.
How the money comes back
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Card and UPI reversals typically appear within 5–7 working days depending on your bank; wallet adjustments for conversation time are applied as soon as we have confirmed them.
Disputes
If you believe a charge is wrong, tell us first — most cases are a dropped call or a misread timer, and we fix them. You also keep the right to raise the matter with your bank or payment provider, or with the consumer forum that applies to you.
A note on timing
Refunds are handled by people, not a queue that ignores context. If something about a charge worries you, say so plainly — that is enough to start.
